So I learned that you can't find reman'd halfshafts anywhere anymore, so I'm stuck rebooting the ones I have. You also can't get the inner boots anymore from Nissan - you can only get the outers.

Trying aftermarket boots from Summit racing...they'll be here tomorrow. I hope they're not total crap. On the plus side they're quite a bit cheaper, and the inners are available. I'll report back on how well they work.

Left rear caliper is also sticking. I replaced these calipers with reman'd ones from O'Reillys last winter so I'm really hoping the caliper is not the problem and it's instead the parking brake cable hanging up. Nissan has the replacement cables still...wholesale priced at just under $100 per side (ouch).

The hanging caliper killed my new pads on the driver side pretty fast. Autozone has a lifetime free replacment warranty on their ceramic pads though, so new pads won't cost anything, and if the caliper does turn out bad, that will be under warranty as well, though I may have to special order

It's been 110 degrees consistently for about 2 weeks....gonna be a hot sweaty mess working on this Saturday.....I'll be in the garage out of the sun but it's still hot.

Rock Auto has 1 halfshaft. No parts stores have any.

Obsolete. Inner boots are also not availalbe from Nissan. Rock Auto is not explicit if the boots they have actually fit, or if they're those crappy universal fit ones. I bought some of those from Summit and I'm sending them back because they don't fit the countour of the outer coupling and grease will pour out of them.

Nissan does have the outers still, and since my inners aren't torn (very dry, but not torn), I'm just going to do those.

Local wholesale dealer had to order them out of TN....About $34 each wholesale. Hoping to have them by this weekend. Can't stand having the car in pieces in the garage. It should be gettting driven!

Halfshafts rebuilt and reinstalled. New ebrake cables installed. One new caliper installed (warranty replacement on the one I had sticking.

I'm still getting a little sticking if I really tug on the parking brake, it's not releasing well despite good working calipers and new cables. If I don't yank it real hard it still holds (kinda), but it will release.

Is it possible i'm getting some sticking soemwhere between the Ebrake handle and the split where the two parking brake cables take off from? I'll try adjusting it some but I fear all that's gonna do is make it not hold as well. When I release the thing it should release fully.
