I am installing a set of brake pads on my 1995 240sx with 4lug. I have the brake pads ready to be put back in, but I can't get the caliper depressed in order to put the brake pad assembly back in, so how do I go about getting the caliper depressed?

you have to screw it back in, you can use a needle nose pliers to get in that x on it or you can get the tool that goes onto the end of a ratchet, either one will work

use some silicone spray from the parts store to lube the rubber boot. that will help keep it from tearing. if it tears, you will need to replace the boot(pain in the butt) now or replace the caliper later.

Thank goodness for this post. I was going through the exact same thing and I came onto the forum to check if anyone had the same problems. Awesome site.
