I have an 96 240, and I have replaced my rear brake pads at least twice a year for the past two years I have had it. Does this mean the calipers are seized? The rear driver side still has plenty of meat left (see picture, its hard to see) while the rear pass side has barely any left (see picture). I assume it is due to a bad caliper, which I have heard happens quite often. Or I’m thinking it might be a warped rotor. I do have some vibrations under light braking at high speeds, but when I really get on it I feel no vibrations at all. By the way, I recently upgraded my front brakes to 30mm Z brakes.

Your links are not working.

If your one caliper is seized forcing the pads to contact at all times, you would run into 2 problems. One would be that the car would pull to that side. Another would be the issue of replacing the pads. When the pads are replaced, the pistons have to be pushed back into the bore. You would feel if the pistons where seized. It may be that they are just temporarily hanging up. That could come from lack of lubrication on the caliper pins, or the ebrake could be sticking on one side. However, if the z32 brakes have an integral assemble, that wouldn't cause the main pads to wear.

My '91 had warped rotors on three of the corners. I could only tell at higher speeds with light to moderate pedal application.
