2001 I30. I have a leak on both sides, right in front of the rear tires. The driver's side is leaking more. It is not brake fluid, gas, or water. It feels like some oil based substance.

Are the rear bushings liquid filled?? What can it be??

Thanks for your assistance!!

My guess would be that your rear shock absorbers are leaking oil... not sure about the bushings though. How many miles on your I?

The car has 69000 miles. The struts are fairly new. I will take a look at them when the snow stops.

The rear bushing is probably leaking lithium grease...this would look like black streaks running down the rear differential cover.

Silicone-filled subframe bushings.
