This would be the lower part of the bumper, or rear diffuser as they are labeled. If you would like to vinyl wrap it instead of paint, that is possible too. The benefit of wrapping over paint is that you can take it off when the car is sold. I am a vinyl distributor and installer, if you are near the greater New York area we can install it for you!! If not, you can always do this yourself. When you order from us we will provide you with PHENOMenal Vinyl's Quick Step Guide to help your install process. This will help you to install the product just as we do, the PHENOMenal WAY!!!Eric Noa wrote:I've seen a few white A/C with the back bumper painted (or atleast it looks painted) black just around where the mufflers sticks out, the bottom middle part of the bumper. Im not sure what that its called. I wanted to know if that is painted of its a aftermarket bumper or what is it. I like how it looks and I want to do that to my A/C. Thank you
yea I was referring to the stock bumper.czonin wrote:Pretty sure he's referring to the stock bumper.
thanks for the heads up...elfenlied8 wrote:I think you're talking about the rear diffuser. I vinyl wrapped mine in matte black, and it looks just like the 08, 09 bumpers however because it's vinyl it's not permanent. The exhaust heat caused the vinyl to shrink and wrinkle, and the rocks kicked up off the road start to chip away at the loose vinyl which cause rips. Anyways, mine still looks fine until you look closely.
* I'm just warning you what may happen if you wrap it.

You are exactly right but we shall see how this lasts on my vehicle in the upcoming months. It shouldn't have any direct effect of it considering it doesn't seem to be too close. Even if you paint it though your paint will become scratched and chip from rock chips. The good part about vinyl is that it can protect areas like these and be thrown away over time, as you have stated also.elfenlied8 wrote:I have no idea what vinyl they used. I took it to a shop and they also warned me that the exhaust heat will effect the vinyl. Which sounds reasonable especially when i drive on rocky canyon roads and long drives that expose it to the high temperature exhaust heat; I dont expect vinyl to take so much punishment.
vinyl is a cheap alternative and easily replaceable. That's why I wrapped mine.
