hello, im new to the forum and just purchased a 08 m35s after owning about 9 mustangs(95 v6, 95gt, 89LX 5.0, 79GT 5.0, 99 cobra vert, 03 cobra coupe, 94 cobra, 92 GT, 97 roush/terminator). however, im not new to the infiniti/nissan family as ive owned an 06 FX35 and still own an 03 i35 and pathfinder.
absolutely love the M35 but was wondering if any company makes a stainless bumper rear bumper protector similar to what they have available on the new JX35. the top of my rear bumper(in front of the trunk lid) on my m35 has a few minor scratches that i could live w/ but wouldnt mind covering up w/ an accent piece(if it looks good). tnx

Welcome to the forum! I have an 07 M35 and I just ran out to the garage and did a quick measure. Seems like the best fit is about 32-33 inches X 2.5 inches. That should cover the flat surface across the tunk lid area.
I happen to be taking my car to the dealer tomorrow for some fluid changes and the waiting room is just off the showroom. I will measure the JX, FX, and EX bumper covers and see how close they come to fitting the M35.
Failing that, you can check out other car makes and see if you can find one close to the size you need. I'm assuming a chevrolet or VW bumper guard will cost less than an one from Infiniti, BMW, Porsche and the like.

thanks for the response and help. was hoping to find one made specifically for our cars but i guess we're only left w/ customizing an off the shelf/model piece. im reallly surprised no one has done this yet as i think a trim on the bottom would look nice and help keep the bumper scratch free from careless ppl dragging cargo from the trunk. a mix of black and stainless steel im sure would look nice. maybe someone w/ fab skills or access to a stamping press, cnc could prototype it. haha wishful thinking.

OK ... I checked the bumper trims on the Ex and Jx. Also confirmed with the parts bloke that there is NO bumper trim available for any year of the M's. The EX bumper trim is great looking - stainless steel embedded in a rubber-like base. The dimensions will fit the M bumper ... but ... the EX has a slight, but visible curve in the tailgate, and and a matching curve on the inner edge of the trim piece. As you know, your M has a relatively straight edge along the trunk lid / bumper. It won't be a flush fit across the entire inside edge against the trunk lid.
I suggest you check out other brands like the camry or maybe some other mid-sized SUVs. Perhaps one of those will fit nicely.
