Rear bumper protector issue

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Using parts meant for another car is always risky (fitment, colour, etc). The question is, if it's worth spending an extra $100 or so to get the "right" part. I'm guessing if you do spend the extra money, you won't notice it in a few months, but if you don't, you'll notice it as long as you own the car.

If you really believe this part will do (assuming it fits) and you're willing to do some legwork, here's a possible approach:
  • print a pic of the Honda part (or DL to your cell phone, for instance)
  • drive your EX to a local Honda dealer, bringing a measuring tape and a camera (or your cell phone cam) - find a Crosstour on the dealer lot
  • compare this to the pics of the eBay listing, measure it, take more pics as needed, etc
I would think then, you could make an informed decision.

I use the clear bra film for my rear bumper. its not bad, and i have to say that's the easiest clear bra to install.
the front bumper got too many curves, but the back bumper just one piece with almost no cruves.
I got it done within about 30 to 40 mins. and it only cost around $20 to $30 on ebay include shipping.
if you just want a simple protection from scratchs, that might be a good option.
