rear bumper problem

Hey guys. i got 2+2 tt 700 ponies and im doing kustom paint job im fiting the old bumper back on that never fit right from day one( original bumper) now the bumper doesnt seem to line up at the edges and it looks like a half inch short to the wheel wheels and at the corner of the tail lights, that round edge where the metal meets bumper, is pulled in and doesnt line up. any sugjestions? any one have this same problem?
