hi all

so someone hit my m56 tonight and fled the scene of the crime. luckly it looks like just the bumper cover will need to be replaced. has anyone seen a nice alternative to the OEM rear bumper cover? my car has the Aero kit and I would love to put a more aggressive rear bumper cover on since I have to change it out. does not look like there are many options out there that I can find.

thanks

I haven't seen many aftermarket rear bumpers for the aero kit, I would suggest replacing it with the aero one, just my thoughts, some of the other fellas will chime in and probably agree as well

There is no aero rear bumper.

Also the only alternative to the OEM bumper would be one from Japan which is pricey and will take a few months to get here.

Black Bison, Job Design, Access Evolution (not really a bumper but still an option), Impul just to name a few.

To my point though, all are pricey.

Why not do the Q70 rear bumper conversion? You'll also need a trunk and taillights to complete the conversion.

I wonder what the cost of that would be??? Unless you find someone who is doing a part out and get the parts used.

I'm partial to the Varis rear bumper:

but it's $1525.00!!! :ohno: I don't know how hard it is to replace the rear bumper - the front is not too bad from some of the How To's that I've seen (changing front grill and adding a long tube cold air intake) so labor could be expensive too if it's a lot of labor hours.

It is expensive and getting parts is expensive. Hopefully we can start see these parts secondhand like at a junkyard for big savings. The 2011-2014 M rear bumper from the factory looks so plain.

I may put this kit on my M56S. Not too expensive and I could do the work myself since I use to do body work.
