I know some of you were wondering the cost of a rear bumper... Brand new, installed and color matched, approx. $1200. I was quoted $1400 because of the (very minor, hardly noticeable) damage to the rear quarter panel. I backed into a telephone pole (this is the second time for this pole). This particular pole is awkwardly located in a parking lot, and is usually hit once or twice a month.

Had mine fixed at a reputable auto shop, left rear tail light, and a full painted bumper replacement.

$850 after labor.

I don't know why they're charging you so much.

Was told it'd be upwards of $4k if the guy had hit me hard enough to damage the quarter panel and hatch... but it was just the bumper.

Luckily I haven't had to deal with any major damages to my car yet. I do, however, have a ding in three of my 4 doors which pissed me off when I found them. If anyone around the Dayton, OH area needs parts for their V, let me know. I work at a Nissan dealer. Just puttin' that out there.

When I had cracked my bumper, it only cost me $150 to get it mended... it looks great! (that was on the old Camel)

my bumper actually never cracked, and neither did the front one when i smashed into a honda (the front bumper literally bent backwards, and I was able to force it back into position, and it never cracked!) the rear bumper just has some gouges

Wow... guess you can't even out the gouges... ;oD Although I'm impressed that it didn't crack...

Mine dented in, pretty heavily, didn't crack and half the corner was inverted.

You know, Brandon, I'm sure if you e-mailed Scott he'd be willing to give you a rough quote... Maybe you'd be able to show that to your dealer (if he was significantly cheaper) and get them to work with you...

I'm actually using an independent body shop. The bumper itself is $250, the rest of it is paint and labor. I chose this shop because they can literally paint a car better than the factory, and they have a good reputation for not cutting corners. The real cost is in the very minor body work needed on the quarter panel.
