My rear left brakes really heat up even when driving normal. The pads are hardly worn. Also the outter pad on the right rear always wears faster than the inner one.

The caliper pistons and e-brake don't seem to be sticking. The way I test this out is too see if the car rolls naturally on a slight slope, and it rolls fine.

Does anyone know the reason for these?

Thanks

could be sticky/frozen sliders. i would say just rebuild your rear calipers and get new rotors and pads.thats about all thats left, i dont think the pads are different thicknesses, but i could be wrong.

F that, coming from a man who knows. It sucks rebuilding the calipers. If you are really good, then do it. But I am really good, and will still pay for reman'd ones. Besides, if you take it apart and can't get it back together the parts store may not take it as a core.

I had the same problem. I replaced the calipers, then after two more times I did the lines with them and the problem went away. I'd say just redo the whole rear set-up from scratch.

Def lines too, they are intended to be replaced about once every ten years. If they get an internal failure they can do the same thing as bad calipers too.
