hello all,

i am replacing the rear brake pads and i cannot get the piston caliper to move back. i was under the impression that if i rotated them clockwise they would move back into the caliper, but this is not working. any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you try taking the cap off the master cylinder? that could be holding the pressure in the lines there for not letting the piston retreat! also try opening the bleeder valves !

You have to push in with alot of force while turning, or at least I have to on mine.

My rear brakes i couldn't get back in either. I took them all the way out and when i did the piston itself was rusted. I cleaned the rust off and polised it then it slid back in fine. I guess i should do my 300zx upgrade soon.
