2002, Altima 3.5, Removing the caliper and taking the torque plate off was pretty straight forward. Well this is neat, looks like the parking brake is a drum brake inside the rotor hub. Jezz, after I squirted PB Blaster all over and inside the thing thinking it was just a little/lot of rust holding the rotor on.What is even dummer is that I bought a Haynes 1993-2004 repair manual mainly for torque specs. that doesn't even cover this brake arrangement.

Please anyone out there, I want to remove the rotors to deglaze and clean up the mess I made of the parking brake. How do I go about removing the rear rotors?

did you release the ebrake by any chance?

otherwise you can use the two screw holes and put some bolts in the disc, turn the bolts about even and it should lift the disc off. Or you can just smack it real good with a rubber mallet.
