I changed the rear brake shoes on my 1993 Maxima and the problem is I cant figure out how to adjust the brakes? The rear brakes are so loose they don't work at all.

Yes, I got a 10mm socket and adjusted the bolt underneath the brake lever but NOTHING! I even looked behind the brake drum to see if there was any kind of hole to adjust the brake drum but the hole is only to see how much brake material is left on the shoe.

Don't know what to do now.

The piston actually is a screw action and somewhat turns when it moves in and out (IIRC). That might be your issue.
