ok so I was oding my rear brake pads..... I got that lil metal thing that you attach to your 3/8 in. socket wrench that you turn to push the piston back.... problem is, I turned it til the piston wouldn't go in anymore (it still turns at that point, but it just wouldn't go in the housing anymore), BUT my new brake pads still don't fit... I've checked the pads and they are the right ones..... but I don't know why the pisotn doesn't go in anymore, it still turns clockwise (the direction you turn to get it in), but it just doesn't go in... anything I'm doing wrong???

thanks

you have to push on the piston with considerable force while turning it, if it still turns, then it isn't in all the way. Once it stops turning, then it is in all the way. Hope this helps.

so, I should keep turning and push REALLY hard at the same time? .... prior to that all I had ot do was turn and it went in... can any1 else confirm this so I don't mess my piston up?

might help to open the bleeder screw soo you don't have to put that much effort in pushing the fluid all the way back to the master cylinder... just do a brake fluid bleed/flush old fluid out afterwards.

Trust me dude, I have put on 4 sets of brake pads since December and that is how you do it.

couldn't find any pads I liked, then found Axxis Metal Masters to be perfect.

get some speed bleeders from an auto parts store, they are VERY helpful.
