I have a 95 240sx that has a rear brake problem. I've had to change the brakes on just the right side about 3 times within the last 2 months. It seems as though the the inner pad keeps "sticking" or rubbing on the inner rotor, resulting in fast, abnormal wear.

I do the replacements myself. I press in the pistons counter-clockwise with needlenose pliers to get the pistons back in and bleed the brake lines when I'm done, yet it has continued to rub. The pads are placed correctly in the metal brake brackets on the calipers. The outer pad as well as the pads on the other calipers all do not have this problem. Again, the right rear side is the ONLY side that does this. Is there something I'm doing incorrectly? Am I doing something wrong in my installation process? Do I have to bleed the brakes in a certain sequence as the factory service manual recommends? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well it sounds like you may have one of three problems. First and by far the most commone from what I have read here....make sure to take a wire brush (or equivilent) and clean those metal plates/brackets where the pads sit, or better .. replace them. Also clean the caliper slides and lube both of these items with a thin coat of synth grease. Next if that does not cure the problem. Look to the hose. See what type of condition its in. Its possible that the inside is worn out and "sucked shut" when you press the pedal ... you force the brake fluid through, but when released, it cant return and thus holds pressure on the pad. The only other thing I can think it would be, if not the caliper itself is the prop valve up front. But that would be causing a prob for both the back wheels .. so not really as likely. Start with a good clean and lube and then go for the hose. That should get you fixed....but also look at your ebrake cable and hardware while you are there.
