I replaced the rear shoes on my 95QA model and the right rear seems to not disingage and I smell the brake after driving. I didn't look at the configurization of the lines when I pushed the piston in and opened the bleed valve. After doing this and no fluid came out i relaized the piston has a return line to the master cylinder. Do you think I got a small amount of air in the line and this is causing the piston to not back off. The brake pedal feels fine not mushy and does not sink while holding it down.

Seems like you are confusing your emergency brake shoes with your rear brake pads.

Did you adjust the former? Did you lubricated the pins on the latter?

Look for this post in Infiniti Online Mechanic if it is not here in the future.
