Unless the dealership has determined the cause of the rattle and have a permanent solution. The noise is most likely either the rear deck or metal components in the trunk vibrating.
I was lucky enough to get the dealer to isolate the issue. In my case it is the rear deck. The service guy stated that the deck had come loose from the metal frame that supports it, and is vibrating against the frame. When it is cool outside it rattles like a muted tin can with a rock in it (slight exaggeration). When it is over 70 outside, only 1 day so far, it is much less pronounced. I guess knowing is half the battle....GO JOE!!!!!! Um...sorry. I can see a few more trips back to the dealer to get it resolved. The last trip didn't fix it, and I haven't had time to take her back. Looks like the Elite Warranty will pay for itself if they can remedy this.
