rear ball joint on s13 with s14 knuckle and hub conversion question

So, i'm in the process of doing the 5 lug conversion for the s13 and have finished drivers side rear so far. The thing is though that we got the s14 knuckle to fit on instead of just r&r the hub assembly from it. I was searching about it and have only read about people switching the hub assembly out instead of the whole s14 knuckle with hub/bearing assembly. Haven't test driven it yet but it seems to have no play at the moment. So...here are my questions.

1) i've read a thread saying the s14 ---> s13 rear knuckle isn't interchangeable because the bolts/bolt holes are too big, and that the knuckle is thicker than the s13 knuckle...i want to get a confirmation that what i'm doing (s14knuckle w/ the 5 lug hub assembly ---> s13) will work and nothing will be flying off the car when i'm driving down the 101 going 80mph.

2) if the top works, I still have to replace a bad rear lower control arm ball joint and i read that the 89 sentra ball joint fits for the s13 but since i'm using a s14 knuckle and a s13 arm, will i have any problems with the size/fitament of the sentra ball joint? because i'm thinking back to safety issues when doing the front 5 lug conversion and having to use a s14 ball joint for fittament/safety purposes.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but was this ever figured out? The rear S13 ball joint working with the rear S14 spindle?
