I just installed the Z32 uprights, along with the brakes on my S13 hatch and when I went to tighten down the axel nut, I realized I could not spin the hub or axel at all, it was really hard. When I loosened the nut, I was able too spin it. Any suggestion?

Okay, I took out the rubber seal in the Z32 hub, reinstalled it, and still the same issue. So instead my dad used a spare axel washer and we grinded the inside so until it would fit through the axel. We placed it in the back as indicated in the pictures and it acted as a spacer, it went out of the space by a few thousandths of an inch. After that we reinstalled it AGAIN and tighten it down all the way to see if if would do anything, and it spun fine. Has anyone done this?

Here's a pic of my axels

what is the advantage of using those uprights?

I tried searching but this was the only thread that came up...

does it alter any geometry?

any benefits? (lighter unsprung weight?)

any drawbacks?

Yeah they're like 6-7 pounds lighter per side (unsprung). Just have to use the z32 lower shock mount. I did a write-up on the swap, it's in 240sx tech.

I read the write up. But yea you can actually feel the difference when you lift both hubs. The iron ones were waaaay heavier.

So do you just slip the conical ball joint over the LCA?

Yea it does. You just have to get that rubber piece shown in that picture, which is off the Z32.

thanks duffman. So i've read that the B12 front ball joint (moog #k9633) fits the S13 LCA. Will it also fit the S14 LCA?
