Does anyone know what effect camber might have on toe? For instance, if increase negative camber will I get more toe in? This is for a S13...

I'm not too sure w/ the terminology, but I think it will toe out.

The negative camber will make the top of the wheel go more in, hence the bottom will be more out.

That is suppose to be better for higher speed driving and drifting.

Camber is a different angle than toe. They don't effect each other, not in a direct way that it sounds like you are talking about. You can change camber itself anyway you want and not affect toe.

Somethings, however, that you do on a car can change them both, depending on what part is changed, or adjusted. If you have negative camber, but your wheels are stright, your toe will be close to zero. To know whether a "camber adjustment" will effect toe, you need to know what part you are adjusting.

that sounds good.

I don't really know the terminology, i was just basing it on the stuff the mechanic was telling me about toe/camber/caster etc when I was getting my car aligned.

If the adjustment for camber is perfectly straight over the center of the wheel (zero caster), then adjusting camber will not affect toe. However, if the wheel has any caster at all (the relationship of the upper ball joint to the center of the wheel, imagine the rake of a chopper as hugely positive caster), then adjusting camber will change toe somewhat. In the S13s case, since the eccentric bolt that adjusts rear camber is slightly behind the center of the rear wheel, it should toe out the more negative you go. Lowering your car makes the situation worse, since the eccentric can only compensate so much. Hello adjustable upper control arms! Hope this helps some.
