Hi all, I recently noticed a strange noise coming from under my hood. The car makes the noise before I start it (in the ACC position), when I accelerate, and when I turn the car off. No change in the car's performance has been detected. I took it in to the dealer and after $90 worth of diagnostics was told that it was a bad "rear active mount" and was quoted $500 to repair. I've tried looking up information on rear active motor mounts and haven't had much luck. Has anyone had any experience with this problem? Here is a link to the noise it is making. Thanks.

The motor mounts on those are liquid filled and electronically controlled. When they go bad, the motors that control the fluid get all kinds of crazy noise. It's fairly common. Try http://www.courtesyparts.com, they have good prices and availability.
