Hello all. Long time reader. First time poster.I have a 1997 240SX. My rear O2 Sensor is shot. I spoke to someone at Nissan and they told me it is not worth changing it. (200 CAD with labor) Does anyone agree with this? Is my gas milage compromised? Any help is good help.

Paul :)

The rear 02 sensor is just there to make sure the cat is doing its job. The front 02 sensor is the main sensor that tells the ECU the remnents of the combustion, aka tells the ECU how to correct the A/F ratio. Your gas milage shouldn't be compromised and dont worry about the rear 02 sensor.

WHAT?! I just dropped $140 on a new rear O2 sensor cause my car was sputtering and shutting off. He said that my Mass Air sensor went bad so that made the back O2 sensor go bad so I neede to replace them booth. Was I just robbed and do I need to go bust some heads at Midas?
