Really silly problem--I can't find my trunk light!

Lest you folks think I am a complete idiot, let me explain that I unknowingly bought a used 2009 3.5SE Coupe that was (illegally) not disclosed as a salvage vehicle--not to Carfax, the DMV, or anywhere! I don't have a light in my trunk and I suspect the housing was simply covered up with carpeting. Can anyone kindly tell me where it's supposed to be and what parts I would need to restore it, assuming that the chop shop that "repaired" the back end neglected to replace any parts of the light whatsoever?

hope you got a good deal hahalet me double check where the light is...but i think its in the middle top of the trunk

it's also somewhat to the left side..

you should be able to pull back the carpeting to see where it is, and see what parts you need, it might be as simple as putting in a bulb, i don't see them removing this part, the car would have had to have been in really bad condition beforehand to have the whole assembly missing.
