Yet again with Racingline . . .

So I just want to say I love Racingline and the parts they make for our cars, but it seems every item I get from Racingline has issues.

Image

Was short 2 washers, 1 nut and 1 nylon-lock nut. Also the bolts were a little too short for my liking.

So I made a trip to Lowe's like usual when using Racingline products.

Anyways, finally got them on and they are pretty nice. Felt the steering sharpen up a bit. I will be throwing it in some corners this Saturday on our SDCE run through Julian and Lyons Valley and will really be able to see how they hold up.

Cons: I lose A LOT of clearance. I am no longer able to get on my alignment rack at my normal shop. I would have to raise the car 1 1/2 to 2 inches in order to get it on. The rods don't hit but the piece between the subframe extends down a bit and now I scrape on bumps I once did not.

Really going to see if they are worth it on Saturday. I really do not want to raise my car. If it is not that big of an impact then I will be pulling them off and posting them for sale.

Sorry to hear you had a problem with your Racingline order. I've never had an issue with any of my RL products missing hardware. Also your clearance issues must be limited to the 4th gens cause I have no problems that I didn't already have by being as low as I am (and I'm low). That being said the biggest thing I noticed with my traction rods was that torque steer is almost entirely gone. I love them and that's even after going through the issues of the original design.

Strut tower - Bolt snapped with little force
Rear sway bar - missing a bushing and holes were too small to fit endlink bolt

Endlinks I bought used so no issue there

I will take pictures of my clearance.

Lol yup

I was more than concerned bout the clearance when I first saw these in the other thread.

Losing .5 - 1.0in ground clearance on this chassis is unjustifiable and impossible, im convinced, for any coil over owners.

I don't think the previous gen. had the same low hanging front subframe, the EXACT area that the "traction bars" bolt to.

I'm dying to see pictures of these installed on someones car. Regardless I'll be looking under the front end of slammed 4th gens at the end of the year meet. It's just so hard to imagine that Nissan changed the front end sooo much that it would be dramatically different than a 3rd gen. The lowest part of my car is the y pipe and then the subframe.

Not so on these, I think AlexM can chime in on that one.

I'll snap a pic one day.

It's pretty ridiculous.

I will take pics and post tomorrow while taking them off and getting them ready to ship to the first bidder =)
