I know this topic has been touched numerous times, but i really couldn't find EXACTLY what i was looking for so i just wanted someones quick insight. What is the advantage/disadvantage of getting an AEM cold air intake as opposed to a JWT popcharger. i was leaning towards the JWT but realized i might not want to deal with changing the filter every so often.

i have an AEM cold air and its awesome...never had to change the filter...and u can clean it with water!!!....just get the bypass valve and ur good to go...it might cost you 300 bucks but its worth it....never had a popcharger although i heard they were good and sounded nice..i dunno if its worth all the effort though...

Changing the filter on the JWT? I think you may be confused. You don't have to change the filter on the Pop Charger. You just clean it with H2O and some 409 or any other water-based cleaner (I use Shout) and oil it back up. The major differences between a Pop Charger (or something similar, like a Stillen intake) or the AEM cold air intake is throttle response. With the JWT & Stillen, you'll have much quicker response as the intakes are shorter. However, the JWT (and possibly Stillen) are classified as CAI.
