really odd problem.. a little help?

today while i was checking my fuses i noticed the fuse labled "egi" was burnt out. i replaced it but once i turned the ignition on or turned the car on it would stay running even after i removed the key .what is the egi fuse for and why would it cause the car to stay on even afer the key is removed???

It powers the relay for your ECU.It possible the relay is stuck closed.Pull the fuse and see if the car shuts off.

stay on when i Iturn the key off and pull it out of the ignition. If I pull the fuse with the key out of the ignition it will turn off

Where is the relay located? Or what's it called I didn't see an egi relay. If it is stuck closed I can try a spare relay I have

We have had several people in Tech forum that have had that problem and it ended up being bad ECUs,but both of them had SR20s.

It is over by the ECU ,passenger side kick panel.
