The summer tires I have on the Q45 right now are likely good for a long time (at least through this summer)... however I am kinda wondering what the best tires are...

I am looking for them in a 255 width, most likely 255-45-17 and 255-40-18...

The tires on here are really good, but I want to know what are other good ones... ON there now are sumitomo HTRZ II (I think) and Kumho ectsa somethings.....

I dont like oversteer... I have been looking on tire rack and I dont really know much outside of what tirerack can tell me.....

I've "drifted" that car, and it's got no more oversteer than any other well-balanced Q.

Plenty you can do to shift the balance towards more neutral or understeer (i.e. safe), but that's icky for a car of it's stature.

The REAL PROBLEM you're gonna run into, is there's an INCH of stagger between those 2 tire sizes. That's not great for handling to begin with, and kills you at rotation time.

Also, finding 255mm width 18's is gonna be EX-freaking-SPENSIVE.

That car really, really needs the same size wheels on all four corners.

At any rate, the Cooper Zeon, the Ventus, the Falkens, and the Kumhos (NOT the 711's though) are all solid performers. Conti Sports suck, be wary there.

The cheapest solution is to go with a 245/40/18 in the rear (FAR more plentiful), and an identical diameter 17 in the front (that still meets load rating specs).
