Eh, it's to be expected... Hard to sell a modded car in this economy.NODES wrote:

The good news is, someone's gonna get a STEAL on it.

My philosophy selling cars, eventually someone will come that knows a good deal and gets it done.AZhitman wrote:

Dude. I have listened to you time and time again. You think your an expert on cars. You are wrong. Racing is not luck first of all. It is skill. If you can't race what you got to its potential, then you are wasting it.Shad0wXCalibur wrote:The Versa can get up to 100 mph in decent amount of time. But it's still a 122 HP motor. It won't go that fast. I don't personally wanna try and find out the fastest mine can go because I wanna live, keep my license, and not fry my engine and/or transmission. That being said... to the guy who beat a Mazda 3, Integra, and an Eclipse, yes, you got lucky. All three of those cars have more HP than the Versa. My friend has a 2003 Eclipse and it pulls away from my Versa without much problem. And it's just the 2.4 automatic. That's not to say the Versa is weak. It can get up to speed pretty fast but plenty of other cars do it faster...
Bob from versaspeed drives a Versa. Many people take Versas to Autocross events. I think that qualifies as racing and racing skills.NODES wrote:People that have "racing" skills do not drive a versa
Everyday type people drive a versa so luck has something to do with it. Auto vs Auto basically is who can smash the gas pedal faster.
Stick vs Stick takes skill and a little luck occasionally.
Where did this come from? I never said the Versa is weak. Just that it's not THAT fast. And I don't have any "skill" to use when racing because I have a CVT, not a manual. I just smash the pedal. I don't have experience with the 6-speed. It may be faster than I may think. Who knows. I was just letting people know my experiences. Not trying to mouth off what I think is fact. I do know about gear ratios, weight, tires, etc. If you wanna go that far into it, my friend's Eclipse is an auto just like mine. It weights about the same as my car, It has nearly the same size tires and same size wheels. We've done it from a stop and a roll and both times I was beaten and not just by a little bit. His engine is a 2.4 and is rated for more torque and HP than the Versa's 1.8 has. So yes, I do think that an Eclipse just might have more power and the Versa's engine has a standard adequate amount of power for a 1.8. So why do I own a Versa? While it may not be an econo sports car like his Eclipse, I have more room and better gas mileage. If I wanted something fast, then I wouldn't be here. Me and my friend just mess around for comparison. Oh and I've also been destroyed by a Z24 Cavalier which was also an automatic. Also a 2.4. The 2.2 is weaksauce but the Z24 packs power and I almost never have good things to say about GM vehicles. And it may also be that your friend sucks at driving his Eclipse. I don't know if he has a manual or not though. You didn't specify. That's great if you genuinely beat one though but I don't understand how I'm spreading misinformation by getting beat by a car with a bigger engine. If anyone reads this and decides they don't want a Versa because it gets beat by some other car, then they are just stupid.lovesaga wrote:

Horsepower does matter but man other factors. Weight, gear ratios, tires, rimes, race from pull or dig, etc.
You must suck at driving if a 2003 Eclipse pulls away from you. My friend has one, and I smoke it.
THe Versa is not weak you are just ill informed.
The Versa should be able to get off the line at the same time or faster if you can launch. THAT "HP" number you were talking about is getting make that difference as speed builds.
I guess we could talk about this all day. I just get tired of you misinforming people. Especially ones that read this forum, and they lack any automotive knowledge so they take what you say to heart.
