The G35 has proven to be fairly reliable (so far), but it's not been on the market nearly as long as the LS400 or Q45. So, it's really hard to say.

As for the Q45/LS400, what years are you looking to compare?

Assuming similar years, there's not a big difference in reliability (save the 90-93 Q45 timing chain guides).

The LS400/430/460 has model year ranges much like Q45 and each group has it's own unique set of component failures.

Unfair to lump V6 vs V8 as V6 will always be less expensive to maintain and repair............this carries on to transmissions and diffs and drive shafts and half shafts. due to body weight and power.

Over the long haul a car that cost twice as much MSRP will probably cost near twice [at least signicantly more than] as much to maintain, repair, feed and insure.

Maintenance history in a large part determines future reliability in these well built cars. Both marque's V6 models are entry level cars, and shortcuts have been taken to reduce costs to the bone fo rmarket competitiveness.
