Real Vs. Fake OEM Rims

I am in the process of looking for OEM M35 Sport Rims. I am just curios.

Has anyone dealt with being able to tell the difference. If so, What can i look for as far as telling which one actually are legit?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'fake' - do you mean a non-Infiniti manufacturer making wheel using the infiniti logo?
I have considered going to 19' wheels instead of my factory 18" wheels, but honestly I have never seen any Infiniti imposters. Actually, if I decide to go with the 19" wheels, I'd probably not even buy Infiniti's as other brands are much more unique looking. If you find a suspiciously low priced set of Infiniti brand wheels, I'd be nervy about what else they did wrong - like will they crack at the first pot hole, or are they going to be impossible to be balanced properly due to shady manufacturing.

Well this is what i mean. I found these wheel that are the sport 19" wheels. He said he will let them go for 700. I went over to look at them and the owner had like 3 different Infiniti's. My first guess is someone works at infiniti and got them from there legally or illegally lol. Ive never seen these wheels in person but from picking them up they were light. Not what i would expect from a rim, but still decent in weight.

Thats why i asked what should i look for? Before i spend money for something that will be a waste.

Those look like legit Infiniti rims to me. Enkei makes the OEM rims we have on these cars.

agreed - those look legit - if you are looking at other 19 inch wheels like the G35/G37 some of them are made by either Enkei or Rays

Also, I dont know the exact weight but I am pretty sure the rims should only be something like 21-22 lbs. each. Fairly light for how large they are and being all metal.

I think they look great. It's hard to pass on that price. They may be a little warm <wink wink> but they certainly seem to be actual Infiniti wheels that possibly 'fell off a lorie' or were 'found on a door stoop' LOL.
I have 8-spoke chromes and 5-spoke wheels aren't my cup-o-tea. That is the only reason I wouldn't have them. Has nothing to do with the quality.

They look brand new, unless he cleaned them REAL good. I would snatch them up for $700!

Done and done. Got them for 600. Lol. Maybe they were really hot. Yeah they weigh 23-25 lbs. thanks all for the help.

I plan on powder coating these anthracite gray. Like i seen another person on the forum do.
