As stated previously the NISMO tag is FAKE. The details etched on it appear to be correct, but it's still bogus.

That would be a great deal of trouble for a car that sold to you for bottom dollars. I'm going to run the VIN at the shop on Tuesday, maybe it was some kind of technology demonstrator or sales tool. If so, it will show a late in-service date and probably a lot of miles before the ISD. That's common with special-purpose stuff because the VIN's don't enter the system till corporate is done with them.

It just indicates there was maintenance performed on this engine at some point by Omori.

Could be as simple as a Fuga owner getting an oil change.

Production date for that engine is 6/2010.

I still don't get it, AZ. It's listed as a US emissions package. Something is weird.

Yeah, agreed. Is that placard on the car you bought, or is it on the front clip of half-cut (imported takeout engine)?

If it's on the car you bought, I suppose the car could have made it to Japan and back (military officer?) but that's highly, highly unlikely.

AZhitman This is the same car.the one the guy sold me for 3400 that he said ran but had engine problems. He swore to
It ran and had a bottom end noise. But then some joker came
And tried to jump start it and blew the fuse out the fuseable
Link holder. They tried to rig it back together poorly with the right side fuse missing and used a washer to bridge the connection.

They never started it again and decided the engine gave out.
The car just clicks when you turn it over and message on screen says warning key system and rapidly clicks. It does not sound like the engine is locked i think you would hear a awful stater sound it that was the case

Gotcha. Any number of components could have been fried if a jumper was connected wrong. VStar probably can give you the walkthrough.

If you're getting a bunch of rapid clicks then it probably isn't locked up, that sounds more like high resistance somewhere. Usually a locked crank will give you one solid "thunk" but nothing moves. Try spinning the crank with a cheater bar, that will tell you if she's locked. If not, you'll need to do some old-school voltage drop diag for the starter circuit, because the starter location on VK's makes tripping the solenoid manually to test it impossible.

Thanks Vstar I think its because of that rig job they did on the battery fuse terminal. In the pics above where I circled
In yellow the entire section is missing and they bonded the two posts with a washer

The whole thing could be cracked internally, that isn't unusual when people mistreat them. But with an unknown issue on an unknown vehicle, a spin with a cheater bar will save you a lot of electrical tail-chasing if it turns out to have a bent rod or seized bearing. If the starter is fused, then a locked motor will pop that fuse.

Well, it definitely wasn't a corporate car. Service record shows it sold from Clear Lake Infiniti in Houston with 3 miles on the odo. It received very regular service for the first 44K at Coulter Infiniti in Mesa, AZ. Then there's a gap to 64K, where N/I apparently slapped it with a branded title and a stop sale. The latter means no N/I dealer can legally sell it without an explicit release from corporate. My guess is that it was sold and the 2nd owner blew it up, then tried to make a drivetrain claim which N/I rejected for abuse. There's nothing after that, and it's anyone's guess about the Nismo plates. Coulter is apparently a high-end dealership, you might want to check with them and see if they know anything.
