Just as a point, if you ask the TSA, EVERY state has agreed to fulfill the REAL ID requirements...Don't believe me? Check there blog they repeat it several times

This is the single stupidest program ever. It is an utter waste of money and provides no security where it should and plenty of hastle were it shouldn't

really? My state didn't.. Gov. Sanford actually send a 5 page letter to DHS stating that he wouldn't... It's "technically" against SC law...

The letter is the 2nd link listed

It literally came from Kip Hawley's (the head of the TSA) Mouth. However, they have since removed it from his blog post http://www.tsa.gov/blog/2008/0....htmlcheck the comments. I will see if I can find a google archive of it
