I have a local guy here in Nashville TN that does modification. I asked him about a CAI and the cost.He told me it would run about $700.00 to $750.00.Work done:Remove Battery to trunk, mount battery in case and secure, wire all to rear with a switch to disable the battery. Run an extension tube to the front left bumper space just in front of the wheel. Also make adjustments/relocate as need to the parts that were connected to the battery bracket.Has anyone thought about this? Would this be too much cost for labor and parts? Any thoughts?

well the thing is... what would be the gain? Price per horse?

Water in engine issues?

$750 is a decent step tward a turbo!

Absolutley way to much work for a CAI, unless your doing a custom show application or something. I can tell you from this turbo project, just moving the battery to the trunk and hiding all the wiring is a tiresome project in itself.

nope Adidas2go, not a show person and Long...that would not be a significant HP gain IMHO.

So, WAI is where I will sit for a spell.

Thanks for your input guys. BTW...both of you give great input and suggestions..

What is significant? 10hp?

Is worrying when driving in rain worth $700, when you have a smaller trunk, and nissan wont honor the warranty?

(this is a "no going back" mod)

Around 10 hp for and extra 400 or so dollars is not worth it IMO. You wont even be able to tell the difference from 10 hp
