Sorry to sound like an *** if i do but everyone learns somewhere.... the question i have is, as far as seting up a drift car maybe track only.... what are a few of the best ways to set up an ebrake for hardcore abuse? whether that be changing it out for a hydraulic setup or what ever can i get some opinions? and i do know ebrake isnt the only option to get the car sideways.also as far as power braking goes do most people have a way of unhooking the rears for the moment or how can they power brake without tearing up the rear brakes.... and i am assuming that on the track for drift on a track only car they do still use the rear brakes while racing?

Just as long as your e-brake cable is in good condition (not slack or about to break) you should be ok.

about power breaking or heel and toe as most people call it. When you power break you are rev matching while down shifting so you don't tear up break pads. When breaking your front breaks do prolly 90 or so percent of the braking so you heel and toe to help the rear wheels slow down by using the engine.

Hope that helps

Just don't try heel-and-toeing on the street until you get good at it...it can be very useful for the track especially if you're using the sh*tty stock 240 brakes. The pedal starts feeling like mush after only a couple hard stops, so yeah, its a good driving skill to learn.

I was so relieved that the questions asked here were actually valid questions. I thought it was gonna be another "is teh ess aar 20 teh best drift motar?"

A mean-a** power brake is not gonna happen in a stock s14 without some water or bleach in the road. I tried once in my s13 and it wasn't too spectacular...

If by power break you mean:Getting ur rpms up, letting go of the clutch, break with ur left foot, and gas with ur right, and watch smoke?

If you do that, ur only using ur front breaks. Unless i'm crazy, i dont think 240s have 4 wheel brakes. You dont use ur ebrake to do a "power break".

I think what you are thinking of is a break torque... Where you rev the motor pop the clutch and hold the break, thus resulting in a big burn out. In this case yes you are toasting your rear breaks.

And yes a 240 can do this.
