READY TO BUY BUT TOWING QUESTIONS

Hello everyone I am a newb to the site. I have pretty much decided on the Rogue over the CRV, RAV4 and new Forester. I love everything about it. My only concern is I tow and launch a jet ski. I know the Rogue is rated for 1000lbs and I am sure it will be fine over the road. Jet ski full of gas+ trailer is around the limit. The launch site near my camp is often wet gravel, sand etc and I am concerned going from traditional 4WD to the all wheel , CVT set up on the rogue and the launching and retrieval process. Comments and suggestions regarding members towing experience both on the road and if anyone else launches a jet ski or small boat would be appreciated.

The AWD model has a higher towing capacity, 1500lbs. Also, the Rogue's AWD system has an AWD lock feature that will lock the AWD in a 50/50 split at the push of a button. This should pretty much give you all the traction you need for launching/retrieval.

Other than that, I have no towing experience with the CVT, so I cannot comment on much else.

Thanks philipa . Anyone else have over the road towing experience regarding the CVT? Of course the salesman says it is great.
