there's this sub-forum on nico called "rwd-sr". in this magical place, there's a stickied thread where people post up their experiences with different engine importers. pretty neat, huh?

Taras240,

There are a few places that you can get an engine from nowadays. I believe the most trusted/respected place is still Phase2Motortrend, which use to be the company "HeavyThrottle." If you have read the sticky by now you know that heavythrottle was mentioned a ton back in the day.

I plan on buying an Sr soon as i get back to the states and i plan on buying one from Phase2 myself. They also have plently of stuff online to help with your swap, i.e gasket kits, swap kit that you can get a Front mount included in.

All-in-all, hope i helped but if you don't want to go with them i believe sr20store.com, and Enjuku sell engines. I just haven't heard anything much about enjuku and little from sr20store. Best of luck to you on the swap and please send some pics of the swap and progress.

For all of you other people that started flaming, it took me about 5 mins to write this email and help someone in need out. Get off the high horses and stop making asses of each other, no one really cares that you added "oh theres a SEARCH or STICKY for this," only that some useful information was needed.

I work at a small 240sx shop in Orlando and we were/are looking for a new motor supplier since JDM Osaka burned us several times.

One of our mechanics checked out JDM of Miami and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the engines. Top-notch. He also has several parts engines so if there were a problem he could get parts to you ASAP. If I had to find another SR, I would buy through them.

Just my $.02

Are talking about buying a motorset and doing it yourself.. Or you talking about having a shop install it for $3k?

Because $3k seems really low. At least from my area.

The intake manifold was a bit dirty. Cleaned and painted it, and got it running.True story.

She's been running fine for the past two years. No problems yet. And i didthe swap myself.

We had many great motors from them but the problems were more recent (Summer '09 - Fall '09). Maybe JDM Osaka was a victim of getting stuck with a container of bad motors?
