I have a '95 SE with OEM stock fog lamps. I want the fog lamps to be manually turned on, so i can use the fogs with just parking lights. Does anyone know how?
oh and a nice electrial schematic of the lighting system would be great also, if avail. :pface
Re-wire fog lamps
i had this on my frontier for a while.
well i dont have a schematic but here goes. find the wire under the hood for the parking lights. splice into it. run this new wire into the cabin and wire it to your switch. from th other end of the switch run to your fogs. switch on will run parking and fog. switch off is parking only.
if you want to run fogs only, you'll need a 3-way switch and a 12v supply. for that tap into the fuse block. same as before only wire in the constant source on the 3rd pole of your switch.
only thing to remember is to disconect the battery before starting.
