I have a 92 240sx with a KA24DE motor that burns oil and has blow-by according to my local mechanic. He recommends a rebuild, however, it costs upwards of $2300 for the labor. I was wondering if it's worth it to just re-ring and hone the cylinders, or go with the full rebuild? Any recommendations, suggestions, comments? I would need a shop to do it since I don't have the tools or expertise to do it myself. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

How many miles on the motor?

Is that 2300 for EVERYTHING?
