Pics at the bottom skip to them if you don't care about the fun facts.

So I did my harness while rebuilding my motor. Then my motor wouldn't start and everyone blamed the harness. We got it running but only with the fuel pump fuse out.

So I caved in and pulled my harness, undid all my beautiful work, and inspected it top to bottom. Everything was fine. So I threw it in corner and let it sit for two weeks while I got motivated to maybe see my car run again.

So finally I put it back together. The first time I did it I used heatshrink for the ends and splits and such in the harness. This time I used electrical tape in favor of a better hold, and believe it or not a cleaner look (my opinion).

Modifications:-Braided sleeving.-Injector wires are lengthened to run the harness through the intake manifold runners-Body harness comes out the firewall and runs with the body harness and plugs into it in the fender-MAF wires super extended: runs under the dash out into the driver side frame rail out out in the front corner of the car by the S13 relay box-Eleventy billion unneeded AC, emmissions, stock turbo, and other misc. wires removed-Ignitor moved inside next to ECU-Under the sleeving each plug has all it's wires bundled together into sweet strands (organizational purposes)

^The last one there actually made the harness like 3ft longer when all the wires weren't tangled together...something I meant to correct for my second time around (was going to shorten the harness in the long spot between the ecu plug and the first plugs by like a foot and a half but got to lazy to do it and just put it back together lol).

Anyway, pics:

Kinda of sad it's so pretty I don't want to put it in my car. Last time it was in there you couldn't even see any of it lol. It's pretty hard to tell the difference when the harness is in/out of the car.

Now to get motivated to make my car run again.

Good, now get your lazy a** back to work on the damn car. That way, when I come to gainsville, to play some beer pong, you can drive me around in something other than the p's taurus or whatever the hell you said it was...

Looks good, just like the last time...

I would love to see and engine pic once installed. I am really thinking about doing this. Where did you get the sleeves? Are they just like the ones for computers? I would think they cant handle the heat.

Thanks guys. I bought the tech flex stuff from wirecare.ccm.I just got the regular stuff I think it't heat resistant. Obviously I didn't route anything near extreme heat sources, for those of you that that's a concern they sell flame retardent stuff. That's my PC in my avatar.

That does look really good.

I have to do the same thing to my RB20 harness. I literally just got it running and every thing is hanging out in the engine bay just soldered. Now that it runs I'm going to shrinkwrap and cover the harness all back up.

Good idea on moving the ignitor out of the hot engine bay. I may try that at some point.

What about there the harness runs through the firewall? Mine seems to be glued together with some white putty crap and I cant get any wires through it. I'm almost thinking its a skyline only thing since its a more expensive car, as my KA24E harness doesn't look like it has it.

Unfortunately I have probably 15-20 wires that are unneeded and Id like to completely remove there but I'm not sure if its possible with out completely redoing it like you did.

Looks really nice though!

Air cooling is so 1990! I kid I kid.

What my harness looked like in transition: (actually the second time around was much neater since I had already untangled everything and grouped the wires in strands lol). If you liked pick-up-stix as a kid you'd love this...

Oh and Glenn it was a Grand Marquis but I gave it back a few weeks ago and now I DD a 49cc scooter lol.
