When I installed my SRI yesterday, I decided to move around some wiring and what-not to make the job look a little cleaner. One thing that I did re-mount was the "SCV - Control Vacuum Check Switch", which was sharing a mounting plate with a light blue clip that had a green dot on it.

I have some "Borrowed" pictures here to illustrate what I am talking about. I mounted the SCV around the bottom of the battery holder where a bolt-hole for the original Airbox was. I also have a picture pointing to the new mounting position.

Will this affect the functioning of the SCV at all??? I don't really know what purpose it serves, and since I have moved it from atop the strut tower down near the engine, I didn't want to mess up the functionality.....

Here is the SCV and the Clip..... I appologize in advance for the shoddy paint-job on these pics.....

And here is the new mounting position......

Finished Job.....

Will I run into any trouble???

Shouldn't matter.

BTW, took me a while to figure out what an SRI was. I usually know 'em as WAI's. :p

personally, i couldnt think of any problems off-hand just from moving it a few inches to another bracket point. then again, im just a 4th gen...might check with noah (beancooker) since he is pretty knowledgeable with the 5th gens.

Guess they like to call them Short Ram's because it sounds cooler when they're selling them

That's almost exactly what I did with mine, and had no trouble.

Sweet.

While this thread is still alive, guess I'll add this.....A while back when I bought the intake, CosmoRacing Posted a pic of my engine bay on their site in order to sell that model of their intake (They didn't previously have an installed pic).

As a consolation, they sent me this CosmoRacing Plate . Is anyone interrested in it? I won't be using it, as I have a NISMO plate frame on now. Anyone who wants it can have it, just pay the shipping......
