Just wondering if anyone on this board has done this on any vehicle ever. Have noticed how much more effective this set up is. Particularly at speed. Seems on the surface that this would be a simple upgrade.

For you VIP enthusiasts the vacant hood washer nozzle would be another place for LED's. LOL

Or nitrous blowoff valves!!!!

I think going to a wet arm system would be a nice upgrade....some dumbestics to spray a pattern that evenly covers the entire wiping area, which is nice

Interesting idea. I've never done the mod but I've often wondered why it isn't the common default setup these days.Although I have to say my parent's '04 Max's spray pattern is excellent.

I spent about 10 minutes fine-tuning the washer nozzles on the Q only to find that the aerodynamics at high speed have the opposite effect on the streams than I expected. Now I just end up washing my REAR window, or the windshield of the car behind me unless I'm stopped.

Wipers are one of the few things American cars do right compared to other cars (not including the controls, since American cars use the idiotic single-stalk control setup instead of two like Japanese and European cars).Even my 1984 Cadillac had a "mist" button (one wipe, no spray). It took the Japanese 20 more years to adopt that excellent idea.

Actually, the wiper switch on the Q annoys me because it doesn't TURN OFF when you turn it off. Instead it goes one extra wipe. Which is almost always one too many. It inevitably un-does whatever the previous passes did, especially since it usually happens after the windshield is dry.

Most cars over 25K have that feature now, the conversion would seem kind of ugly and silly I think. It is certainly possible, but you would probably have to get a new wiper arm from another car in later years.

Thats one thing thats always annoyed me about many 1990s Japanese cars. Even our old GMC Vandura had fantastic wipers with on-arm sprays.

I really think youre best off adjusting your nozzles and see how that treats you... Ive not had any complaints with the washers... but an interesting idea indeed, the first step would be to measure all nissan/infiniti wiper arms and find ones with similar dimensions.

Well it's rewarding to have an idea that most posters agree would be good idea.

That said, does anyone know how that spray pattern is delivered thru wiper arms? The quasi gov. agency that graces me with a free vehicle is rather keysy laid back but i seriously doubt my removal of truck parts for research would fall within the confines of technical or scientific research related to entomology.

I'm thinking that running the feed hose up to the wiper arm might be simple enough but then a dispersal system/apparatus device is where my thought process breaks down.

I've never examined how a operative system works. Have you?

Open for suggestions.
