I just picked up a 2004 G35X with 50,144 miles. Was on lease, then sold at auction and owned for about 13 months privately, then traded in to Nissan dealer. I bought it from dealer. It has 3 months left on factory basic warranty. It had a clean carfax. It has all the bells and well you know what, including spoiler. Interior and exterior are considerably better than average of what I saw when looking at used G35's. It's really nearly cosmetically flawless. Mechanics checked out ok. Has new tires. I paid 17,500, which wasn't a steal, but for around here a very fair price for what it was. I bought extended 3 year 100,000 miles 0 deductible comprehensive warranty. Cost was 1475. This G35X seemed to be the best deal in my area. Everything else that seemed better money wise, was in some way flawed by either high miles, dings and scratches on body. fair at best interior, etc. I also looked at used Suburu Imprezza WRX but a really nice one cost almost as much, and seemed in many ways to be less car. My son will use the G35 his last two years of college, and then I'll either sign it over to him, or use it myself to replace my aging Camry. My wife likes her Volvo S70 AWD Turbo.
