Hey Nico GTR Forum,

My name is Jared and I was on here asking questions about a potential Skyline GT-R purchase roughly a year and a half ago. I moved to Japan and hopped around from a little Suzuki Alto to an S15 Spec R and finalized the purchase of my 1989 Skyline GT-R in June of this year.

I figured with the advent of these cars' US federal legality rapidly approaching, it would be wise for US owners and prospective owners to stick together and share info. I'm mostly a lurker.
I also drive a '70 Series 1 240Z as well as a '72 that I have stowed away back in the US waiting to tear down and put back together as the beastly Z I've always wanted to make, but I'm a lurker on most Z forums as well.

Glad to be here and I hope to see some members here at a US Skyline meet eventually.

Hey AZHitman, I believe we've conversed before or at least I recognize your avatar as a common fixture on the Z sites. I know I posted a few pics of my '70 Z on classiczcars when I bought it, but I just recently bought the '72 and have not posted pics.

Here's the '72 I just recently bought. I had been looking in a 300mi radius of my hometown of Knoxville for my family to go possibly trailer back a decent shell as I'm looking to put together another modded Z car, but I found this one almost literally in my back yard. From ad posting to sold in less than 24 hours, and my brother was the 3rd person to go look at the car. It runs beautifully, and I'm actually sad to tear the motor out of it. It's going to get torn down and repainted the same color.
