okay guys... i'm re-installing the fuel rail after doing a head gasket swap.

My question is, is it necessary to remove the injectors and swap the o-rings before I do so? (it says to change the o-rings in the FSM)

I have new o-rings that came in the felpro gasket set that I purchased, so it wouldn't be out of the way (cept for wrenchtime, but shouldn't take too long)

Thanks guys

If you've got em, and the fuel rail's still out, change em. Plenty of problems with people and jacked up injector rings. Change em while the rail's out and save yourself some gas and time later.

If it says so to do it in the FSM, I'd do it. Is it absolutely necessary? Probably not, but to be on the safe side I would.

one word of wisdom.., install the fuel rail with the head out (if you still have it out), 'cuz it's a ***** to get it there after the head is on. I actually wished to take the hood out of the way...

There's a small screw in the back which becomes the culprit

If you already have the head in, and can't get the fuel rail in, I'd say bend the last screw "eye" on the fuel rail, close to the firewall for easy fitting.
