re-installation of s13 gauge bezel

does anyone know of an easy way to re-install the gauge bezel of the s13. you know the big plastic piece that holds the vents and all the buttons in it. i got the old one out easily ( it was already cracked in the middle), but it seems the tilt steering lever is now in the way of it going back in without cracking the replacement. any suggestions? i would appreciate any help. thanks!

Did you take out those two bolts and pull down the steering column...the extra two inches or so is all you need?

Yeah you have to drop the steering column, and getting the vent to line back up can be a pita.
