hi everyone, i am new to nicoclub. i have already searched around the site alot. my question is if a straight t4 turbo is to big for daily driving. and if some of you out there can help me out with turbo sizing. im going to be running a sr20det red top stock internals for a strong daily driver. i would like to make a solid 350hp to the wheels on low boost. i dont mind a bit of lag ether. any help would be nice. t3/60-1? straight t4? gt series? bb? t3/t4?thank you:)

everyone is going to tell you to search. Im using a t3 t04e 57 trim. 60-1 would be too much lag said Scott.

Well i'm running a garrett GT3071 and that is not as big as a T4. To me i realy like it and it's my weekend car but i'll drive it every day if i had the gas money to do it. if i was you i'll go for a strake t3 and don't worry that lag you can get rid of that.

I'm running a t3 / t04e 60 trim, .63 a/r hotside. I make full boost around 4200rpms, not to bad for the size of the turbo. i know i easily make over your goal on around 18psi with the potential of a bit more. If you only are shooting for 350 then thats easily done with a gt2871r. I can snap some pictures of my setup and give you a detailed list if you want my sn is guitarist102.

T4 What? T4/T67? T4 is generally listed as the Turbine Housing. Ill be running a GT3567R .82 which is a Ball Bearing T3/T67. Able to make 700whp and 14psi @ 5krpm, 30psi @ 5500rpm.

Also from what ive seen, a cheap T3/T4 50 Trim .63 A/R makes more power and has the same spool as a GT2871R .64. Also its better to go External Wastegate anyways.

a to4s, a straight t4. anyways, what kinda response do you get with your gt35r? does it spool fast? can you explain your results with that turbo? any pics? i would really like to get a gt3576r! thanks for your time.

My turbo is larger than a GT35R. Its a GT3567R. Custom Ball Bearing T67 P trim T3 turbo. Its flow rate is 75 lbs/min, good for 700whp. Hybridynamics is fabricating everything for me right now.

Go with a Garrett or Precision turbo. From the picture, the OBX castings look like ****. Very rough on the inside. Probably explains the price. T4 isnt an advantage till over 600hp. That 60-1 in a T3 .82 Housing would be plenty and wont have the headaches of getting a one off setup made. I think response is gonna be slower than a GT30R. Most likely have full boost in the late 4k to low 5krpm area.
