The problem with the upgrade is that the advertisement on the page is now taking about the third of the display (before it was pushed out outside of the display to the right).
I mainly comes to this forum on a 13-14" screen (1024x768 pixels display). A lot of windows moving already with the old version as soon as you have pictures in the thread, but the problem now is that I cannot move the window anymore: The width is fixed at the larger of the screen.
So, as soon as there are pictures in the thread, I cannot read the posts anymore (example: the 19" or 20" rims thread).

I checked the user profile to modify the settings but did not find anything. In other forums, like BITOG, you can modify your settings in order to accomodate the size of your display.
So for now on, no comments from me as soon as there are pictures as I cannot read what other wrote.

Is there something I can do to view all the thread on a 1024x768 display?

Thanks for your help.
In fact, it seems there is a display problem with some replies as they move more and more to the right and start hiding on the right of the display.

Thanks for putting up with all the little issues everyone. The guys have spent the last 24hours straight doing the upgrade... 5.4million posts, over 147,000 members... it's a job of unreal scale!

Please post any issues you have here and I will forward them off to our site admin.

Please be patient as it's going to take time to work the bugs out. We went from our old crappy forum software to an entirely new system... it's not a simple upgrade.

Thanks!

Stacked/series-threaded replies are critically bugged.

We migrated from Zeroforums to phpBB, it's not totally seamless and we will get it sorted out.

I have posted all these issues to the admin. Let us know if there is anything else.

Adding image links to new posts are not working either. I've let the Admin know.

Why phpBB? Why not vBulletin?
I've ran some smaller forums in the past using phpBB (2.x and 3.x builds), and always found phpBB to be a bit of a pain if the forums I ran were busier, such as how NicoClub is. However, I do admit I've never tried vBulletin because I never wanted to shell out the coin for the software, lol.

By the way, can't quite figure out how to edit my posts either with this interface...

But yeah, props to the admin team for the conversion! I know keeping the posts when upgrading to an entirely different software is NO easy feat. I've actually lost all forum posts in the past when upgrading to newer versions of the same software, lol. (But like I said, they were small 50 user forums, in which the nature of the posts changed every year, so it was no big deal.)

But yeah people, give them patience, there's a lot of settings and code for them to go through and tweak and change.

Apparently because phpBB is well supported and it's popularity. One of our biggest issues with Zeroforums was lack of support and poorly written patches and updates. It was literally crumbling around us towards the end. We don't want to go through that again.

Some have reported issues where the Edit and Quote buttons on the upper RH corner of the post are not there. It's weird because it works for some but not others. We are aware of the problem and are looking into it.

For those wondering what the new post icon on the LH side are about:

Scrolling = Hot Topic
Red = Unread topic
* = Topic you have posted in

What about Rogue Glossary? FAQs, how-to etc. It doesn't seem to be working.

Yup, all the links got blown away. It was working yesterday so something must have happened.

Give me time, and I will fix the links.

If you do not get edit and quote buttons on the upper RH corner of every post , try the following:

1) Open the user control panel on the right =>
2) Select the tab named 'Board Preferences' then 'Edit Global Settings'
3) Change 'My Language' to Francais Standard then click Submit
4) It will taks a few seconds, then the User Control Panel will be loaded in French.
5) Change 'Langue' to British Standard, then click envoyer.
6) It will take a few seconds, then the User Control Panel will be loaded in English.

You should now get the Edit and Quote buttons. This has worked for others. We are trying to see why it happened in the first place. It may be a bug in phpBB.

Polls did not survive during the upgrade. We didn''t have many here anyway and they were quite old.

Links to photos up to 640x640 pixels can be posted now using the Img button. Anything bigger will give you a warning message. We are looking at a way to automatically resize larger images.

Existing images larger than 640x640 will get cropped/cut off. There is nothing we can do about this right now.

At this point in time, NICO does not allow photo albums or attachments in posts. You still have to upload the photo to a hosting service like Imagebucket or Flickr then copy and paste the image URL.

Our facts/FAQ sticky didn't make the conversion very well... it's all text and no links. We'll have to work on rebuilding that unfortunately.

OK, the FAQ is fixed. Fortunately I had a backup copy of the thread saved on my PC. ;-)

Image linking/posting has now changed:

Images larger than 640x640 are now rescaled to fit the screen, when you click on it you get the full size image. This is only for new images. Old posts will still have images cropped/cut off.

You should now be noticing much improved speeds and the search function (upper RH corner) is now working.

If anyone is still having issues, please chime in.
