Hey guys,

Just got myself a used m45 that had a lot of highway mileage and there are chips/peeling on the chrome finish on the front grille.

How can I get it refinished? Does anyone have any DIY tips, or do I have to get this done professionally??

I've seen some chrome auto trim paints at car stores, but are they any good?

Any tips/suggestions would be great!

p.s. I'm also thinking of refinishing the plastic area around the fog lights in a chrome finish. has anyone done this before??? Bad idea, yes/no?

you're better off getting it professionaly done or buying an aftermarket grill. Chrome paint is impossible to do right at home. Your other option would be to do a none-chrome color like black to color match to your wheels or something.

I hope that helps.
