Wow, okay, you've run into some misinformation.
For suspension, you have a few options. If you replace the springs you'll need new shocks.
Your options are as follows:- KYB GR2 shocks and some sort of spring - really no performance gain, just allows you to lower the car without blowing the shocks, use Eibach Prokit, Sportline, or H&R Sport shocks- Koni Yellow shocks and some sort of spring (Eibach Sportline or H&R Sport are your best bets)- TEIN coilovers, there are a few variants- K-Sport coilovers - pretty serious bang for your buck- NISMO coilovers - overpriced, not as low, not as much added grip, generally nowhere near as good as they ought to be- JIC coilovers - a couple variants, a bit more pricey than K-Sports, but arguably a bit better; the FLT A2s are awesome, but you have to be willing to pay and unless you need a lot of adjustability, I wouldn't bother
IMO, the choice would be between a Koni+Springs setup or the K-Sports. I've heard of TEINs wearing out too quickly, and you don't get any better performance for the same price as the other two setups ($600-700).
Exhaust: go with a full catback, make sure it has a quality straight-through resonator and muffler and it won't be buzzy or too loud - BRM, HKS, NISMO, to name a few
Intake: You'll only suck up water with a CAI if you literally submerge your front bumper. I've had one for 3 1/2 years now and driven through some pretty serious rains and minor flooding without incident, and my car has a Koni/Eibach setup making it pretty low.
Spark plug wires will do nothing performance-wise. They're basically useless unless you have a bunch of mods and use an aftermarket ignition system.
Anyway, a proper intake/exhaust combo will net you 10hp or so. Most of the gain you'll notice is in throttle response and general peppiness.
